
Corey Milne is site manager of Great Salt Lake Minerals Corp., a $170 million enterprise with more than 300 employees on the shore of the Great Salt Lake near Ogden. He joined the company in 1980 as a process engineer and assumed responsibility for the organization's overall operations in 2004.
Dr. Milne is an expert in solar evaporation processes and has provided technical consultation to solar evaporation projects at the Dead Sea in Jordan; Qinghai Lake in China; Moab and Wendover, Utah; Searles Lake, California; and Carlsbad, New Mexico.
He is a member of the State of Utah's Forestry, Fire and State Lands Advisory Council, of the Great Salt Lake Technical Team and of the Governor's Great Salt Lake Advisory Council.
Dr. Milne has a BS and PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Utah. He was born and raised in Utah and resides in the town of Marriott-Slaterville with his wife of 30 years, Carol. They have three children. Dr. Milne has 13 years of youth organization leadership in the LDS church.
